choose between two striking bars, an exclusive fine-dining nook or settle at the captain's table and sample delicious dishes using the very best seasonal produce in our superb heron tower restaurant.

meander between high tables, sunken loungers and long benches and indulge in our skinny and delicious cocktails or work your way through our impressive wine list. open 7 days a week for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner and canapé parties, the drift’s imaginative food menu uses locally sourced ingredients at refreshingly good prices. whether it’s for a leisurely lunch with friends, a sunday roast catch up with family or celebratory dinner, the drift offers a diverse range of spaces and menus to suit all your needs.

book for corporate or private events, product launches, after-show and wrap parties, fashion shoots, music videos and celebrity interviews. Music and a late licence on thursdays and fridays make the drift the perfect place to start and end the party.

About us

the drift is drake & morgan’s fifth bar, and follows the success of the refinery, its first bar in southwark, which opened in september 2008; the parlour, which opened in canary wharf in october 2009; the anthologist in early 2010; and the folly in late 2010. drake & morgan was established in february 2008.

Buttercup project

We are delighted to announce that The Anthologist has launched the buttercup project, our heartfelt commitment towards sustainability, the environment and our local communities. Launched across all Drake & Morgan sites, the buttercup project is our way of giving something back.

We proudly support both local and national charities, all of which we hold close to our hearts. Whether it be painting children’s rooms (Kids Company), making a commitment to our staff for a nutritional meal everyday (SRA), going pink for a month (Breast Cancer Care), raising money for bears in thailand (Hauser Bears), donating pennies

and saving the bees (London Capital Bee Project) and we are grateful for your support in helping to really make a difference through our chosen charities.

menus

with crisp green vegetables, leafy salads and a wealth of seafood, april heralds the arrival of the season’s finest british produce. so, we’ve spring cleaned our menus and added dishes such as the summer vegetable salad with mustard seeds, tarragon, baby chard and basil oil served with either salmon, chicken or prawn lollipops; the lobster burger with fennel and spring onion salad; and prawn stuffed avocado with coriander and caper mayonnaise.

spring also brings the fragrant aromas and dazzling colours of edible wild flowers, with roses, hibiscus and violets blooming – and they’re adorning many of our new cocktails. sip in style with concoctions including the violette pisco sour – pisco shaken with violette liqueur, fresh lemon and egg white or a marigold martini – bols genever shaken with earl grey tea syrup, fresh lemon and edible gold.

we take our food just as seriously, ensuring we are always sourcing local, seasonal and organic ingredients wherever possible. we believe quality ingredients speak for themselves. whether it is morning brunch, light lunches, sharing plates or mains, you will find the same freshness and innovation you will learn to expect from us, whatever time of day. the menu centres on comfort food and sharing, with imaginative small plates and boards for two or more. the menu tempts further with a host of gourmet sandwiches, burgers and salads including the famous drift steak sandwich – finely cut scotch beef with garlic and paprika cream on caramelised honey tortano bread.

gearing up for the grape, the drift take their love of wine seriously, offering over 50 bins including more than 40 of their best vintages by the glass. thanks to our enomatic and unique swipe-card system you can top up your card and purchase wine directly from the enomatic. clink glasses and savour premium wines by the glass.

good morning! what takes your fancy - a light breakfast, coffee to go, a business meeting, catch-up with friends, cheeky cupcake, or perhaps that delicious danish? the list is endless... whatever the reason, the drift is the perfect place to come and relax in the mornings. try working your way through our new brunch menu, filled with lots of indulgent dishes, it’s definitely worth getting out of bed for. guilty pleasures include: the breakfast club - sour dough layered with sweet cured bacon, london sausage, fried egg, roast tomato and field mushroom; or bubble and squeak - shredded cabbage, potato and sweet cured bacon topped with a poached egg.

the more health conscious might prefer the californian kick-start – poached egg on toasted english muffin topped with hummus, guacamole, flat mushroom, grilled plum tomato and sweet chilli sauce.

to really brighten up your morning, treat yourself to a breakfast tray with a croissant, egg florentine, freshly squeezed juice, seasonal fruit and tea or coffee.

we have a range of healthy juices too, or detoxing teas to suit any morning mood.
